Personal information

-    Collection
When you visit this site, in order to better serve your needs, Société Générale may collect personal information that you provide, either directly (specifically your CV or application) or indirectly (e.g. your computer’s IP address), and where applicable using forms. This information is recorded in Société Générale IT systems or those of service providers and consultants assigned by Société Générale. Certain elements of your personal information are required to process your requests: in this case they are marked with an asterisk or a similar distinguishing mark.
The information communicated will be kept for no longer than 18 months. However, at any time you may access your account using the ID and password chosen when you created the account to make changes or delete information as you require.

-    Use
The information we collect is used principally for the management of candidate applications and recruitment activities. It may also be used to inform you of job offers, forums, actions or publications that are likely to be of interest to you.
Indirect personal information, for statistical analysis, may also be collected for the purposes of managing your connection and navigation (See below, information about Cookies).

-    Recipients
By express convention, this information may be communicated, to the extent it is required for the purposes mentioned above, to legal persons within the Société Générale Group, to external consultants mandated to this effect, and where necessary to subcontractors.

In particular, the information you provide when opening your candidate account and when submitting your application, may, except in the event of opposition on your part, be added to the Société Générale’s candidate pool, which can be consulted by all Group entities and its consultants. These persons may contact you directly using the contact details you provide to propose offers of employment and career opportunities within the Société Générale Group.

Such communication will, where necessary, imply the transfer of data outside France, in particular to entities and consultants of the Société Générale Group established in countries that are not members of the European Union. Such transfer of information may also take place in order to ensure the security of IT networks and transmissions, or to fulfil our legal obligations. Société Générale takes all necessary measures to ensure the security and confidentiality of your information and to prevent unauthorised third party access.

-    Right of access, rectification and opposition
You have the right to access your personal data and to request that any incorrect, incomplete or out of date information be modified, updated or removed. Subject to a legitimate reason, you may also oppose the use of your personal information. This opposition may nevertheless lead to Société Générale being unable to process your request. You may also oppose the use of your personal data for marketing communication purposes without the obligation of providing justification. 

Your rights to access, rectify and oppose the use of your information may be exercised online by accessing your personal account, but also by contacting the webmaster.
