Your environment
Working for the General Management of Société Générale, the General Inspection Department carries out consulting and auditing services for all of Société Générale’s activities worldwide. In the context of its assignments, the General Inspection Department evaluates all aspects of the organisation, operations and activities exercised by the Group’s entities. Besides its management team headed by the inspecteur général, the Department comprises some 130 inspectors, about 25 controllers and support teams dedicated to the best pursuit of the inspectors high added-value tasks.

The essential role that the General Inspection Department plays is:
To evaluate the Group’s activities
In the context of its assignments, the General Inspection Department evaluates all aspects of the organisation, operations and activities exercised by the Group’s entities. Its role is vital in keeping the Group’s decision-making bodies duly informed:
· by giving an assesment of risk management withitn the company;
· by constituting a proposition force for the evolution of the group’s activities, in the short, medium and long run.
To participate in the group’s strategic projects
The General Inspection Department is regularly brought in to review key strategic projects for the Group:
· examination of acquisition targets in France and abroad;
· preliminary studies for large-scale projects;
· internal restructuring, etc.
To offer high value recommendations to Top Management
Each mission calls for a written report in which conclusions and recommendations are directly submitted to the Chief Executive Officer of Société Générale and to his deputies. Thus, your efficiency within the General Inspection Department depends not only on your ability to fully understand the activities examined, formulate your own opinions and propose strategic orientations and operational recommendations but also on your strength of conviction in presenting your conclusions both orally and on paper.
Your profile
Graduate (or almost graduate) with a top-quality educational background (engineering and business schools, political studies institutes, postgraduates programmes) in France or abroad, you are in the early stage of your professional life.
You are mobile, enjoy working as a team in diversified and challenging environments and in a job in which your interpersonal skills, your rigour and your autonomy will be serious assets. Fluency in English or in French is required.
