Join the Cross Structuring Group (CSG) and work in a multi-profile team on the structuring of various financial products, in particular Credit Derivatives and Interest Rate Derivatives. CSG is focused on the repackaging aspect involving documentation, structuring and review. This team works in interaction with people both inside and outside the bank. The team takes into account various regulatory, legal, fiscal, and accounting aspects that can affect a product, with the purpose of offering the most appropriate format for the client and Societe Generale.

You will be interacting with many different departments within the bank (pricing, marketing, sales....) and various types of customers and providers. Apart from enhancing your academic skills, you will develop your abilities to take care of a project from its inception, adjust your language to various interlocutors and be part of a multi-face team, in an international environment.

Your role

Your main responsibilities will be to:

Take part to the structuring of the packaging of market products (credit and interest-rate),

Main responsibilities

Deal support and management

• Obtain a thorough understanding of the Middle Office operational processes for both PFE
and TDA and be able to apply and or adhere to the existing procedures or guidance in

• Attending kick off meetings with the Front Office to discuss new transactions and
communicating the Middle Office requirements to the Front Office.

• Preparing drawdown notices and payment instructions for approval by the Front Office.

There is a strong interaction between the TDA Middle Offices.

Operational Risk Management

• Initially invest a lot of time to understand the various SGCIB systems in place to manage operational risks. Be able to use these systems in accordance with agreed procedures.

• Proper documentation and evidence of work performed and filing of key documents in E3F
(Middle Office system).

• Declaration of key operational controls performed in Morse to comply with Basle II requirements.

• Preparation of the reconciliation between Middle Office internal records and Fund reports
from the private equity funds under management, and the resolution or escalation of
issues thereof.

• Raising alerts to team manager, in the event of issues being identified on the current processes.

Credit Risk Analysis

• Depending on the transactions, credit analysis of existing relationship including periodic review of financial results and statements to monitor operating performance, liquidity position and financial condition, peer analysis, identifying industry trends and analysing of financial projections,

• Processing waivers, amendments, and refinancing transactions as appropriate,

• Tracking and monitoring compliance with financial information and other covenants
provided under the bilateral and/or syndicated loan Agreements.

Relationship management

• Establish and maintain strong internal relationships with FO, BO, ACFI
(ie Finance Team),Compliance and other business/operational as required/appropriate.

Other specific technical requirements

• Demonstrate a sound awareness of vanilla products in a financial services environment.
