At the start of 2008, Société Générale signed a partnership agreement with the Ecole Centrale de Pékin, a new educational establishment offering Chinese students the opportunity to acquire an excellent level of French and to pursue a curriculum similar to that offered by the Ecole Centrale Paris. Société Générale is involved in the training of these students by providing them with opportunities to apply their knowledge to real-life case studies.

Chair in Financial Risks
A scientific partnership between Société Générale, the Ecole Polytechnique and the Ecole des Ponts, under the aegis of the Risk Foundation, the Société Générale - Ecole Polytechnique / Ecole des Ponts Chair has the objective of developing research, the sharing of knowledge and training on financial risks. The action of the Chair is rendered through the collaboration between the quantitative research teams at Société Générale and the academic researchers of the Ecole Polytechnique and the Ecole des Ponts on issues of common interest in the domain of financial risks.
Chair in Media & Entertainment, ESSEC
Société Générale Corporate & Investment Banking encourages the development of the necessary competencies in the training of the managers of tomorrow.
With this in mind, in 2006 we participated in the creation of the Chair in Media & Entertainment, bringing together a group of professors from ESSEC and industry professionals who share their collective experiences and create a bridge between the world of research and the training of future managers in the domains of media and culture. This Chair aims to develop high potential managers in the international cultural sector.
Chair of Corporate Innovation
On 2 October 2008, Société Générale signed a partnership agreement with Groupama, Accenture, the Ordre des Experts Comptables (Association of Accountants), Cegid and Wolters Kluwer, to create a Chair of Corporate Innovation. The objective is to get students working together in complementary areas (Commerce, Science and Art), from three higher education establishments: the ICN Business School, the Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Mines and the Ecole Nationale Supérieure d’Arts, all three based in Nancy, France. Meeting together in workshops, students suggest innovative products and services to help proprietors of very small, small and medium-sized companies in their business development.
