You assure the analysis of the values of a sector by anticipating the profitability of the investments and by realizing a detailed analysis of companies. In practice, you collect the financial data, companies (profits, growth perspectives, financial situation, estimated value of their assets, management methods, their development strategies of the same sector notably by organizing meetings with their management. After having studied these data you bring in the recommendations on the investment opportunities and play a role of the counsel with the managers.
As a portfolio Manager, you help to implement the investment strategy defined for each portfolio, and manage the assets you are in charge of. You take positions in financial markets to obtain a return on the assets under management (UCITS, unit trusts, mutual funds) and to optimise their performance, while paying attention to legal constraints and risks.
Your expertise will also mean that you will handle customer relations: you will set out the fund management policy and take part in supervisory board and fund management committee meetings.
