We book the transactions, and cost-effectively secure Société Générale’s cash flows in fast moving, often volatile markets.

Your future in high finance is closer with teamwork in Operations

As the operational arm of a major international bank, our network spans more than 40 countries across the world. Our Operations team is headquartered in Paris, but three out of ten of our professionals are located in other financial centres. To meet the increasing demands of 24h/24h trading, electronic payment transfer and demanding financial legislation worldwide, we have growing Operations teams in London and European Centres as well as in New York, Hong Kong, Singapore, Sydney, Tokyo, Canada, Brazil…

Whether you choose the financing or the markets side of Operations, you are involved with products and projects that earn Société Générale Corporate & Investment Banking staff a reputation for performance and innovation. Comprehensive training opportunities and an open-door management policy ensure our professionals rapidly acquire sharp financial skills.

We offer a wide array of challenges to professionals who share our values: rigor, efficiency, responsiveness, professionalism, innovation and team spirit.

Zdravka

Securitisation Middle Office manager

"I joined Société Générale in June 2003 as a long-term trainee in a management control unit responsible for preparing and controlling the budget in the debt and financing department. During the traineeship I discovered the bank's businesses and products and learned about the structures, tools and corporate culture of a major international bank. My traineeship also proved to be the best springboard for my recruitment by SG CIB in April 2004, as Middle Office manager in the European securitisation team. The securitisation business, which is at the crossroads between corporate finance and market finance, is a constantly-changing, developing activity, which offers young graduates the opportunity to acquire advanced technical understanding and to address complex financial, legal and risk monitoring issues."

Back Office Manager, Market Products

You ensure that administration and financial management run smoothly from front office through to customer delivery. Your team is responsible for entering, checking, confirming and settling payment and you are in touch with both internal and external customers.

Project Leader

Projects are at the heart of our Operations approach, and as project manager you work as an internal consultant, helping to consolidate our reputation for operational excellence. Comfortable with decision-making, you establish efficient modeling, based on systems and costs data and you implement internal recommendations. Your expertise and skills are paramount for organizing, defining, and optimizing processes as well as analyzing and evaluating costs. You work closely with operational departments but also with client-facing teams and IT divisions.
