DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION

These positions are an integral part of the Middle Office Team which will strengthen the efficiencies and processing of the group to support the Front Office business line. These positions will process the activity of the various desks to include Money Market Sales and Trading, FX Sales and Trading, Proprietary Trading, Collateral Management, Mortgage Backed Trading, Special Situations Sales and Trading, Credit Based Sales and Trading, and Derivative Sales and Trading
This position will be located in the Trade Support Unit.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Trading Assistant: responsible for participating in the set up of the SSG Market, Credit Market Access and Index desks (all under the Credit Platform umbrella) in NY. The position is based in New York under the hierarchical supervision of the head of OPER/FIC Middle Offices. This is a new position with a large part of the job dedicated to establishing TSU coverage linked to a new FO organization.
General Responsibilities Include:
•Deal Capture: enforce controls designed to make sure that executed trades are booked promptly and accurately
•Trade Input/Modify/Cancellation
•Resolving Front Office vs. Back Office Trade Breaks
•System & static data maintenance
•Aid in new client registration with KYC / Compliance
•Externally affirm trading activity with brokers and clients
•Liaise between Front Office, Back Office Product Control Group, I-Tech teams globally
•Test system upgrades/enhancements
•Investigate & clean up fails and breaks
•Ad Hoc assisting of the traders and salespersons
•Monitoring of the STP processes so that all trades flow to BO systems promptly
•Maintain key internal relationships with MO Paris, Trading, and BO
TECHNICAL SKILLS
Required/Must have:
Experience supporting a Credit Products trading desk
Product exposure should include thorough understanding of the mechanics of: Credit Default Swaps, ABS, MBS, RMBS, Credit Index, CDOs
Desired/Plus:
Knowledge of U.S. Government securities, Repos, Corporate Bonds, FX, Interest Rate Swaps

PRIOR WORK EXPERIENCE
Required/Must have:
2-5 years experience supporting a Credit trading desk.
EDUCATION
Required/Must have:
Bachelors Degree in Finance or Economics
