Joining SGSS is taking the next step

Every year, following the Société Générale Group integration day, we organise an event dedicated to SGSS whereby our new employees are invited. Objective: present our activities and allow the newcomers to get better acquainted through extra-curricular activities.

In 2007, the year of rugby, the new joiners were invited to Marcoussis, the training ground for the French rugby team. The rugby theme has been chosen again for this year’s seminar, on one hand, to be coherent with the Groups ongoing commitment to this sport and, on the other hand, to better underline the spirit of the Securities Services business line. On the agenda, presentations, workshops and team building, to discover the universe of the securities services business line.

Progression, it’s essential

To reach perfection, we need to go through training. To guarantee that our clients have an optimal service quality, we need to maintain a high level of qualifications within our teams. That is the reasons that new joiners are always proposed training in line with their needs with at least one training session within the first 18 months following their arrival.

BADGE: Securities business training leads to a diploma

In partnership with the Business School Audencia, we have devised a specific training course about the Securities businesses in France, which has received accreditation from the "Conférence des Grandes écoles" organisation. Following an aptitude survey, BADGE   enables the training and enhancement of the skills of non-management staff members in SGSS, and the professionalisation of the Securities business line.

Every day I learn something new
"My first job role was as head of Multimedia Communications. Then I moved on to the back-office, in the Registered Share department. In 2005, there was another challenge for me: I was put in charge of team of account managers.
My team (3 account managers and myself) handles 200 clients, major companies listed in the CAC 40 index or small to medium sized companies being floated on the stock exchange.
As manager of the team, I supervise the analysis of client needs, the various stages of formalising an offer the setting up of the services. Managing my own portfolio of clients means that my job remains very hands-on.
Our strength? We have a very comprehensive offer of services, both for option plans and employee shareholding plans.
We are the leaders in this market. 40% of the CAC 40 companies are our clients.
What do I like best? The diversity of customer relations management: I have contacts with CEOs, CFOs and HR divisions, etc., and there is always the interface with our back-office.
